He was born April 12, 1942, in Kountze, to Mae Thelma Hargraves Pender and William Christopher Pender. Arthur retired from Kirby Lumber Company as a welder after over twenty-five years of service. He was always a hard worker and could build and fix anything. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he also enjoyed working on cars and piddling. She attended Silsbee High School, where she was crowned Homecoming Queen in 1951. After graduation she and Bennie Como met, on a blind date, and later married. Louise worked at the courthouse as the Assistant County Auditor, where she later retired from. She thought she ran the courthouse! Louise made a difference in so many lives. He was born on September 17, 1946, in Orange, to Reba Parks Capo and Sam Capo. Ricky was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was known by many people as Ricky, Rick, Cape, Big Rick, and to a select special few, Popa Rick. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for many years as a rigger and later as a commercial fisherman and carpenter. Faye was the oldest of ten siblings and a really hard worker on their farm. She graduated valedictorian of her class then headed off to nursing school in Beaumont, where she got her RN! Versenia loved to fish and spent many enjoyable hours anywhere there was water deep enough to throw in a hook. She was a great cook of the many vegetables she helped raise in the big garden. She always had her hair done and dressed up when she went out anywhere. She loved her grandchildren, and this love was returned as they came back for many visits as they got older. MSG George T. Sanner, 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He was born December 5, 1928, in Houston, Texas to Frances Ellen and Edwin Wilcox Sanner. George was a decorated United States Army veteran who served twenty-eight years; one tour in New Foundland, four tours in Germany, and two tours in Vietnam. After his retirement, George and his family moved to Wildwood, Texas in 1978. There he worked as a security guard, a maintenance supervisor, the local property surveyor, and as director of the Village Mills Cemetery for many years. He was even honored with the cemetery road being named “George Sanner Road”. George loved serving his God, family, community, and The Wildwood Baptist Church.
